MILWAUKEE, Wi. (KMIZ)

The St. Louis Cardinals lost the first divisional series of the season in Milwaukee as the Brewers clinched the matchup win Sunday with a 6-1 victory.

The Red Birds struggled to get the bats going for the second time this series after being shut out in game one.

The rookie Jordan Walker led things at the plate going one-for-three with an RBI while Tyler O'Neill went two-for-four. Walker has recorded a hit in all of the nine games so far this season.

On the mound, Jake Woodford got the start Sunday. He pitched nearly five innings giving up three runs on six hits and recording five strikeouts. Andre Pallante also gave up three runs in his one inning pitched.

The Cardinals now fall to 3-6 on the season. The road trip is set to continue with a three-game series in Colorado. Game one will start Monday at 7:40 p.m.
