Jefferson City man charged with rape in Callaway County
CALLAWAY COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)
A Jefferson City man was charged Friday for allegedly raping a woman in Callaway County on Wednesday.
Drake Fullingim-Guerra, 30, is charged with first-degree rape. He is being held at the Callaway County Jail without bond.
Jefferson City Police met with the alleged victim in the emergency room of Capital Region Medical Center on Thursday. She allegedly told police that she met and exchanged numbers with Fullingim-Guerra and agreed to hang out with him Wednesday at the Noren River Access.
The alleged victim told police that Fullingim-Guerra was "very pushy" and kissed her before demanding to see her vagina. The victim allegedly told police she had to cover that area to prevent him from touching and that Fullingim-Guerra ended up moving her hands and unzipped her pants. Fullingim-Guerra allegedly took the keys from the ignition and told the victim she needed to sit on his lap to get the keys back.
The victim allegedly told police that she did not feel like she had a choice and continuously told Fullingim-Guerra “no,” according to the probable cause statement. She also told police that Fullingim-Guerra told her “if you didn’t want it, you shouldn’t have kissed me.”
Fullingim-Guerra allegedly told police he would have stopped if the victim said no. He also allegedly told police that he knew he should have stopped and that he “could not control his emotions.”
Police said in the probable cause statement that Fullingim-Guerra has a prior conviction in 2012 for sexual assault of a child in Texas.
