Mizzou gymnastics grabs top regional score in season ending outing

LOS ANGELES, Ca. (KMIZ)

The No. 14 ranked Mizzou gymnastics team saw its season come to a close in the NCAA Regional Finals on Saturday night, but the year ended on a high note with the Tigers recording their highest regional score ever.

Mizzou finished the day with a total score of 197.6 with the most points coming on the floor at 49.525.

The first rotation was spent on the beam where the group put up a 49.400 led by Sienna Schreiber with a 9.925. Next up, was the high score on the floor. Jocelyn Moore led the group with a 9.950.

Rotation was three was the vault where Moore once again showed out with a team-high of 9.975. The group then ended the day on the beam with Moore and Helen Hu earning scores of 9.85.

This total marks Mizzou's second best score in program history. However, the group finishes in third behind Utah (198.050) and UCLA (197.925) and will not be headed to the NCAA Championships.
