Camden County shooting suspect in custody
CAMDENTON, Mo. (KMIZ)
The Camden County Sheriff’s Office announced in a Tuesday press release that a man accused of shooting another man has been arrested.
James C. Mark was arrested Tuesday. Charges have yet to be filed. He is being held at the Camden County Jail, according to the release.
Deputies on Monday night responded to a call at an apartment complex on Scarsdale Circle at the Village of Four Seasons for a report of a shooting. Deputies found a man with a gunshot wound in his chest. The victim was brought to an area hospital.
Detectives discovered several spent shell casings and collected other evidence from the scene, the press release stated.
While deputies were searching for the suspect, Camden communications received a call about an attempted auto theft nearby. Deputies found clothing the suspect was wearing at the shooting crime scene. The witness in the attempted auto theft said it was James C Mark, 31, of Lake Ozark and Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, according to the release.
While searching the Horseshoe Bend area Tuesday, deputies received a call from a citizen describing a black Chevrolet Tahoe parked at a residence on Thrush Road. Mark was sitting next to the vehicle and was arrested.
