Rain today an appetizer for what could come
THURSDAY: We're starting off with clouds this morning and a southerly breeze, which is why we'll get back into the upper 50s later this afternoon, even as rain chances move back in later in the day. There's really no threat with this round, other than to saturate the ground, eventually causing some problems tomorrow.
TONIGHT: We expect a lull in the activity into the early morning hours Friday, but keep the umbrella handy overnight. Temperatures still hang out in the 50s.
EXTENDED: Things look to get messy on Friday. Heavy rain pushes back in toward the afternoon, which could be accompanied by a strong storm or two. Those storms will be undercut by cold air, leading to a freezing rain threat, eventually becoming a snow threat into Saturday. Temperatures come crashing down overnight into Saturday, where highs are only expected to top out in the low 30s. We rebound on Sunday as we dry out and highs get back into the 40s. Our weather stays settled into the start of the work week with highs fairly seasonal in the 40s
