Mizzou baseball gets series sweep against No. 2 Tennessee
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
The Mizzou baseball team kicked off SEC play with a big time series sweep against No. 2 Tennessee after finishing the series on Sunday with team wins in a double-header.

The Tigers won game one on Sunday 7-4 led on the mound by 10 combined strikeouts from Ian Lohse and Zach Franklin.
At the plate, Dalton Bargo and Trevor Austin both went 2-for-3 on the day with two RBI's each, plus Ross Lovich and Dylan Leach also brought in a run of their own.
MU won game two 7-1 led by Austin Troesser on the mound now allowing a single hit in over four innings pitched, plus recording seven strikeouts. Tony Neubeck and Rorik Maltrud provided relief on the mound each getting two K's. The pitching core allowed just one hit in game two.
Hickman alum Cam Chick led things at the plate finishing 2-for-2 with three RBI's. Trevor Austin and Justin Colon also brought in a run.
Overall on the weekend, the Tigers managed to outscore the Volunteers 23-6. With the three wins, MU sits at 16-3 on the season and 3-0 in SEC play.
