No one was injured in a fire at the Margaritaville Resort early Sunday morning.

Osage Beach Fire Protection District was dispatched to Margaritaville Resort on the Lake of the Ozarks shortly after midnight Sunday.

Crews found smoke in the stairwell and coming from an air conditioning unit. Resort security was using fire extinguishers and guests were being evacuated, according to firefighters.

Osage Beach Fire crews said they used a variety of methods to attack the fire. Lake Ozark Fire District, Mid County Fire and Sunrise Beach Fire provided mutual aid.

The fire stayed contained to one area of the building, but there is smoke damage throughout that area of the building, according to firefighters.

Less than 20 units in the resort were being used at the time of the fire.
