One last familiar day before things change
WEDNESDAY: Temperatures top out in the upper 40s to near 50 once again with more sunshine. We will add in a steady southeast wind with a few gusts getting up around 25 mph.
TONIGHT: Those winds keep up overnight as clouds build in. Both of those work together to keep temperatures in the 40s
EXTENDED: We get off to a running start on Thursday, helping afternoon highs reach the upper 50s. The bad news, rain chances are pushing back in at the same time. That rain will be off and on throughout the evening and into Friday. Highs closing out the work week will be in the 50s again, but things are about to change. Toward Friday afternoon, the rain will likely pick up in intensity with a thunderstorm or two possible, as cold air is trying to push into the area. That cold air will overspread the region early Saturday morning, which would change our rain over to a wintry mix. Precipitation looks to return as another wave of energy work through Saturday before wrapping up. This is where we would see any accumulating snow falling, but the amounts and intensity are still being ironed out. Stick with ABC 17 as we track this tricky forecast over the next few days.
