1 dead, 8 injured in upstate New York concert stampede

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) — Police say one person is dead and eight others injured after a crowd pushed toward the exits of a concert in upstate New York amid apparent fears shots had been fired. Rochester police told ABC News in a statement that they found “no evidence to support a shooting having occurred” inside the concert late Sunday featuring rappers GloRilla and Finesse2tymes at the Main Street Armory. Police say a 33-year-old woman died and two people are in critical condition. They say the injuries appear to the result of crowds pushing toward the exits following accounts of what people believed to be gunfire.
