Fulton man charged with domestic assault, armed-criminal action
FULTON, Mo. (KMIZ)
A Fulton man was charged with a pair of felonies in February for an alleged incident in August.
Dion Vaughn, 47, is charged with second-degree domestic assault and armed-criminal action. The warrant was served Friday, Feb. 17 and he posted bond the same day. An initial court appearance is set for 9 a.m. Friday, March 31 at the Callaway County Courthouse.
The alleged incident took place on Aug. 17 at Hosenfelt Welding & Mechanical. According to the probable cause statement, the alleged victim had a scrape on the front portion of his head, just above his forehead and a gash on the back of his head that was about an inch long. The victim said he had been hit in the head with a pipe.
A witness said he heard arguing between the victim and Vaughn and saw the victim was bleeding afterwards, according to the probable cause statement.
Another witness claims they saw two men arguing and shoving each other before one man hit the alleged victim with a “baseball swing.” That witness also said he saw the alleged victim then try to push back before them were hit in the back of the head with the same item, according to the probable cause statement. The witness allegedly heard the man referred to as “Dion.”
