Nia Hinson joined the ABC 17 News team in January of 2023 as a MMJ.

She graduated from Miami University in May of 2022, with bachelor's degrees in both Journalism and Sport Management.

During her time at Miami, she worked as a reporter/anchor for Miami Television News, and interned for The Borgen Project.

She has lived in many states, but claims Long Island, New York as her original hometown. She comes from a large family, growing up with 3 older sisters, and 1 younger.

When Nia isn’t working, she enjoys watching sports, binge watching the latest Netflix series, working out and hanging out with friends and family.
