Road closures announced in Mid-Missouri due to flooding

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Cole County Public Works announced road closures Wednesday due to flooding.

Storms hit the area early Wednesday.

The following roads were closed:

  • 8700 block of Payne Road in Russellville.
  • 2800 block of Meadowsford Road near Lohman.
  • 8400 block of Oakland Road in Cole County.

The Missouri Department of Transportation also announced a closure in Macon County. Route HH in Macon County is closed four miles south of Route J at Rock Creek due to water over the road. 

It has not been revealed when those roads will be reopened.
