After Kansas City won Super Bowl LVII, offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy is now headed to Washington for a multiyear deal.
Multiple news outlets have made this announcement, but neither the Chiefs or Commanders have put out official confirmation.
Bieniemy was named the offensive coordinator and assistant head coach of the Commanders on Friday.
Bieniemy has spent 10 total seasons in Kansas City and five as offensive coordinator claiming two Super Bowl rings.
The Commanders OC was previously Scott Turner who was fired in January.
As far as the future offensive coordinator position for KC, quarterback’s coach Matt Nagy has previous experience in that spot. Other people internally that they may look at include running backs coach Greg Lewis, wide receivers coach Joe Blaymeier, offensive line coach Andy Heck and tight end coach Tom Melvin.
