Mizzou knocks off No. 12 Iowa State in SEC/Big 12 Challenge
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
The Mizzou men's basketball team stayed tough to beat at home knocking off No. 12 Iowa State 78-61 Saturday in the last annual SEC/Big 12 Challenge.
The Tigers were led by Kobe Brown with a double-double 20 points and 12 rebounds. Three other Tigers also scored double-figures.

D'Moi Hodge had 17 points, five rebounds and a team-high four assists. Nick Honor added 12 points, plus DeAndre Gholston had 10.
The Tigers came out for the second half starting a perfect 6-for-6 from the field. Overall, Mizzou made 10-straight shots to finish the first half and start the second – turning a 30-26 lead into a 58-39 advantage.
MU led almost every stat shooting 47% from three and 49% from the field. The Mizzou defense forced Iowa State to have 19 total turnovers and Mizzou scored 20 points off of the TO's.

Iowa State was without starter Caleb Grill at Mizzou and was led by Jaren Holmes with 19 points. Outside of the starting five, the Cyclones didn't have a whole lot of help with just nine points coming from their bench.

The Tigers are now 16-5 on the season and 12-2 at Mizzou Arena.
