Mizzou WBB can’t hang on in nail-biter against Tennessee
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Coming off of a week-long break, the Mizzou women's basketball team came very close to snapping a three-game losing streak, but could not hang on in the final seconds. In the end, Tennessee came out on top with a 68-65 win.

The loss extends MU's losing streak to four SEC games. Mizzou is 14-6 overall on the year and 3-4 in conference action.
Despite the loss, junior forward Jayla Kelly was a huge highlight for MU. She played what might be her best game in a Tiger uniform. She racked up a career high 14 points, nine rebounds and four assists. However, the ever-consistent senior Hayley Frank led the team, once again, with a season-high 26 points on the day.
Frank finished with five three's in Sunday's loss. She was 5-9 from beyond the arc and 9-16 from the field. That performance snapped a four-game streak where Frank scored less than 10 points per game.
Rock Bridge alum, freshman Averi Kroenke finished with seven points and four rebounds, getting 33 minutes of action.
Up next - Mizzou will hit the road to meet Georgia on Thursday, Jan. 26. Tip off is at 6:00 p.m.
