Arsenal sign Belgium winger Leandro Trossard from Brighton
LONDON (AP) — Premier League leader Arsenal has completed the signing of Brighton forward Leandro Trossard. He arrives one week after Arsenal missed out on long-time transfer target Mykhailo Mudryk. Arsenal says it signed the 28-year-old Belgium winger to a “long-term contract.” The value of the deal was not disclosed. Arsenal lost a key attacking option when Brazil forward Gabriel Jesus was injured at the World Cup. Its pursuit of Mudryk ended when Shakhtar Donetsk instead accepted a $108-million offer from Chelsea. Arsenal is five points clear of Manchester City chasing a first league title since 2004.
