HONOLULU (AP) — Tom Hoge likes to keep his life as simple as his golf swing. Never mind that he won $840,000 for his tie for third at Kapalua in the Sentry Tournament of Champions. He made a detour to Los Angeles to watch TCU play for the national championship in football and still flew coach. Why? Because he always flies coach. His one big splurge was more than four years ago when he bought a BMW. He still has it. Hoge says he wants to save the money he makes so when he’s done playing, he has the freedom to pursue whatever he wants.
