Tracking a warmer weekend, rain by Sunday night
TONIGHT: Partly cloudy and cold with lows in the lower 20s.
TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and much warmer with highs in the mid-40s.
EXTENDED: Tonight will be cold as clouds continue to try to break up as lows fall into the low 20s. Tomorrow is about 10-15 degrees warmer with more sunshine as winds shift back to the south. Sunday will feature more clouds and warmer temperatures as gusty winds get us into the mid-50s. I'll be tracking a chance for showers by Sunday evening, becoming more widespread into Monday morning and afternoon. There could be a couple rumbles of thunder with a few embedded thunderstorms on Monday, but severe weather isn't expected. We'll get into the 60s on Monday with a drop to about 50 on Tuesday behind this system. Most of our attention early next week will shift to the system that will move into the area between Wednesday and Thursday as cold air starts to move in. I'll be tracking low pressure that will bring widespread rain on Wednesday, but as cold air moves in Wednesday night, there's a chance we could see rain change over to snow depending on how far north or south the low moves. If it goes farther south, we could have a chance at accumulating snow late Wednesday night into Thursday. However, if it moves north we'll end up with mostly rain.
