Tracking a freezing afternoon before improving conditions this weekend
THIS AFTERNOON: Clouds have begun to filter out early this afternoon and sunshine helps struggling temps reach the mid-30s. Tack on winds though and the feels-like will dwell in the 20s all afternoon.
TONIGHT: Clear skies allow us to lose heat easier, leading to a bitterly cold start to the weekend. Lows in the teens.
EXTENDED: Saturday sees bright skies and quickly warming conditions with highs jumping to the mid-40s. Sunday will be the better day to get outside with highs in the upper 50s before clouds roll in by the evening ahead of overnight rain. A few thunderstorms are possible on Monday as a low pressure system sweeps across the Midwest, with about 1/2" rain possible. We'll get a break from rain on Tuesday, but showers return on Wednesday, bringing another half-inch of rain. We'll cool down toward the end of next week with temperatures getting closer to average in the lower 40s by next weekend.
