Tracking frigid winds today, and warmer conditions this weekend

TODAY: Mostly cloudy with patchy fog early. Clouds gradually exit with highs in the mid-30s. Wind chills in the upper 20s.

TOMORROW: More sunshine, with highs jumping to the mid-40s as breezes relax.

EXTENDED: Sunday will be the better day to get outside with highs in the upper 50s before clouds roll in by the evening ahead of overnight rain. A few thunderstorms are possible on Monday as a low pressure system sweeps across the Midwest, with about 1/2" rain possible. We'll get a break from rain on Tuesday, but showers return on Wednesday, bringing another half-inch of rain. We'll cool down toward the end of next week with temperatures getting closer to average in the lower 40s by next weekend.
