Tracking a warm afternoon before potential Thursday snow

Today: Afternoon highs warm into the upper 50s with mostly sunny skies. Winds remain out of the south at 4-8 mph.

Tonight: overnight lows cool to 40 degrees with partly cloudy skies and winds out of the southeast at 4-8 mph.

Extended: Wednesday sees mostly cloudy skies with highs nearing 60 degrees. just after midnight on Wednesday, scattered showers will push in form the northwest switching over to a light snow by about 5 am Thursday morning. Up to a dusting of snow is possible for areas along I-70 and north including Columbia. Snow and rain pushes out just before noon. Temperatures look to cool into Friday to the upper 30s before warming up once again into the weekend.
