COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The City of Fulton has its own electric vehicle charging station.

The station, a partnership with the company Blink Charging, was installed last month and will be used as a trial to gauge demand, according to a city news release. The service will cost users 25 cents per kilowatt hour.

The station is in the Brick District parking lot on Market Street.

The city said in a news release that the cost to use the station is lower than others in the area. More chargers could be installed based on the demand for the current station.

The station has connections for two vehicles and will charge a vehicle up to 80% in an hour, the city says.
