Mizzou defensive line gains another returner

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Mizzou defensive coordinator Blake Baker received some good news on Tuesday morning. Standout defensive end Trajan Jeffcoat said he will be staying in Columbia for one more season.

2023 will be Jeffcoat's sixth season with Mizzou. He saw action in every single one of his seasons, except for his redshirt year in 2019.

Jeffcoat joins like the likes of defensive tackle Darius Robinson, defensive tackle Jayden Jernigan, defensive backs Ennis Rakestraw, Kris Abrams-Draine, and Jaylon Carlies, as well as linebacker Chad Bailey in players coming back for the 2023 season.

Jeffcoat played in all 12 games in 2022, finishing the year with 20 total tackles and one sack.
