The PGA Tour begins a new ambitious year in paradise. The Sentry Tournament of Champions returns to Kapalua on Maui for the 25th year. The 37-man field is comprised of 2022 winners who are still in good standing, plus anyone who finished among the top 30 in the FedEx Cup last year. Missing from the field is Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry. The tournament also doesn’t have its defending champion became Cameron Smith is suspended for joining LIV Golf. This is the first of 17 elevated events. The prize money is $15 million, nearly double from a year ago.
