Veteran talent returning in Mizzou secondary

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Mizzou safety Jaylon Carlies announced Tuesday that he will be returning to Columbia next season marking the third veteran player in the secondary to do so.

Carlies joins Kris Abrams-Draine and Ennis Rakestraw who both announced that they are staying with the Tigers next season.

Carlies started in all 12 games this season at safety finishing the regular season leading the team with 72 total tackles, including four tackles-for-loss, four pass-breakups, two interceptions, and a sack. He had five or more tackles in seven games.

Carlies has two more years of eligibility remaining.
