Mild weather helps us get back in the swing of things

THURSDAY: Things will stay quiet today, but the one big difference will be the cloud cover that has moved in overnight as a cold front moves in. That looks to stay with us but temperatures will top out in the low 60s yet again even with that front moving through later today.

TONIGHT: That cloud cover sticks around but we'll stay dry overnight. Lows fall back into the middle 30s.

EXTENDED: That front lifts back to the north, eventually bringing a return to some warmer weather, but we won't feel it on Friday. As the front is lifting back through, we could see some light rain here and there, but won't amount to anything more than a nuisance. The parent system will swing through the main front on Saturday, which will bring a more substantial chance of showers and a few storms into the evening. Breezy southerly winds will move temperatures into the low 60s ahead of the front, which provides the energy necessary to hear those rumbles. Showers will linger into Sunday morning before tapering off by the afternoon, as we see a return to more typical afternoon highs for this time of year, in the low 40s through Tuesday.
