Newberry expects quick turnaround after taking over at Navy

Navy athletic director Chet Gladchuk and new coach Brian Newberry say there is a lot about the football program that won’t change. Newberry says the Midshipmen aren’t rebuilding and he has high expectations for next year. Newberry was promoted from defensive coordinator to replace coach Ken Niumatalolo. Navy went 4-8 this season under Niumatalolo and lost to Army. Gladchuk says he met with a number of players, and Newberry had quite a bit of support.
