Thousands of students set to graduate from Mid-Missouri colleges
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
More than 2,500 students are set to graduate this weekend from colleges and universities in Mid-Missouri.
Schools holding ceremonies:
- Columbia College
- Lincoln University
- Stephens College
- University of Missouri
- Central Methodist University
University of Missouri
The University of Missouri expects more than 1,900 students to graduate with more than 2,000 degrees. That includes around 1,500 bachelor's degrees, 472 master's degrees, and 119 doctorate degrees.
MU plans to hold five graduation ceremonies Friday and four more on Saturday. The school will also hold ROTC commissioning of officer ceremonies Saturday and Sunday.
Stephens College
Stephens College is scheduled to hold a commencement ceremony for undergraduate students Friday at 4 p.m. The school will also host a ceremony for graduate students on Friday at 6 p.m.
Both ceremonies will be held in the Kimball Ballroom of Lela Raney Wood Hall.
Columbia College
Columbia College will host a nurses pinning ceremony at Launer Auditorium on Friday at 6:30 p.m.
The school expects 23 students will receive their nurse pin and graduate with their Associate in Science in Nursing degree.
Nearly 190 Columbia College students are also set to graduate on Saturday. The school plans to hold commencment ceremonies in the Southwell Athletic Complex at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Lincoln University
In Jefferson City, the Lincoln University School of Nursing will host a pinning ceremony in Richardson Auditorium on Friday at 7 p.m. LU plans to broadcast the ceremony live on Facebook and YouTube.
The school will also a hold an ROTC commissioning ceremony on Friday at 4 p.m.
Central Methodist University
More than 300 students plan to graduate this weekend from Central Methodist University in Fayette.
The school will hold a commencement ceremony for at least 180 students in Puckett Fieldhouse on Saturday at 2 p.m.
