Power restored in Callaway Co. after equipment malfunction

UPDATE: An Ameren spokesperson told ABC 17 News that power has been restored to the customers in Callaway County that were impacted by Sunday’s outage.

An “equipment malfunction” caused the outage, the spokesperson said.

ORIGINAL: More than 100 customers in Callaway County lost power Sunday afternoon, according Ameren’s website.

The company’s outage map shows an outage affecting about 130 households west of New Bloomfield. The outage was reported around 1:30 p.m., according to Ameren.

A cause has not yet been determined for the outages, according to the map. Crews have been assigned to address the issue.

Power is expected to be restored around 5:30 p.m., according to Ameren.
