MU condemns racist social media post made by student

The University of Missouri issued a statement Thursday saying that it condemns a racist social media post recently made by a student.
"University of Missouri officials have been alerted to reports of a racist post by an MU student," the statement read.
UM System President Mun Choi also condemned the post in the statement.
“This language is reprehensible, and we condemn any language and actions that are racist, discriminatory and hateful to our community,” Choi said in the statement.
The university is reviewing the information.
MU's Twitter account responded Wednesday to a tweet with a link to its reporting policies about discrimination. The tweet it responded to included screen caps of posts of an alleged MU student who used a racial slur in a post that also include their own face.
Choi recently denounced racism in November along with the MU Faculty Council, which followed an October incident where flyers were discovered around MU's campus. The flyers included images of white children and one included the words "we must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children," in addition to other statements. The quote from the October flyer is described as a hate slogan used by white supremacists, according to the Anti-Defamation League.
