Heat ramps up Friday with a brief break for the weekend
TONIGHT: Mostly clear and warmer with lows in the upper 60s to around 70.
FRIDAY: Hot and humid with highs in the upper 80s. Partly to mostly sunny.
EXTENDED: Another cold front will drop through the region on Friday, bringing cooler and less humid for Saturday. No rain is expected with the front. Saturday will be a gorgeous day with highs in the low 80s. Clouds increase overnight with our next rain chance arriving early Sunday, especially for areas north of I-70. Rain tapers off mid-late afternoon, leaving us with low 80s across northern Missouri and mid-upper 80s for the rest of us across Mid-Missouri. The summerlike weather continues through next week with highs in the upper 80s to around 90.
