Tracking gusty winds and warmer temperatures on Friday

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy with lows in the upper 30s to around 40. Breezy with gusts up to 20 mph.

TOMORROW: Partly cloudy and very windy with gusts up to 40-45 mph. Highs in the upper 50s to around 60.

EXTENDED: Tonight, a few clouds and breezy south winds keep temperatures in the mid-upper 30s. Tomorrow is much warmer as strong winds gust up to 40 mph from the south, getting highs to around 60 degrees. A cold front sweeps in from the west on Friday night, bringing a chance for a few sprinkles east of Highway 63 after sunset. Behind the front, clouds clear out and temperatures will be about 20 degrees cooler to start the weekend as highs only reach the lower 40s. We can expect more clouds on Sunday as low pressure tracks to our south, but rain chances are slim for much of our area. Getting into early next week, another low pressure system tracks across the Rockies into our area between Monday and Tuesday. Depending on timing and temperature, we may need to keep an eye on the potential for any wintry mix, but for now the precipitation type looks to be predominantly rain with less than 0.5" possible through Tuesday. We'll cool down behind this system as temperatures drop into the upper 30s to around 40.
