Baldwin returns in style for VCU; Vandy’s Stackhouse ejected

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Ace Baldwin returned from a four-game absence to score a career-high 28 points, making four 3-pointers, and VCU held off Vanderbilt 70-65 in which an enraged Commodores coach Jerry Stackhouse was ejected. During the eight-minute media timeout in the second half an angry Stackhouse had to be restrained by his coaches as he confronted officials over Commodore Liam Robbins being given a technical foul. the three technicals led to six free throws taken by Baldwin, making four, to extend a lead to seven points. Myles Stute made 6 of 9 3-point shots and scored 20 for Vanderbilt.
