Tracking bitter wind chills as temperatures drop overnight
TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with clearing skies by morning. Lows in the upper 20s with wind chills falling into the mid-teens with gusty winds from the northwest.
TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and cold with highs in the upper 30s.
EXTENDED: Temperatures drop into the upper 20s overnight, but winds up to 30 mph from the northwest will drop wind chills into the mid-teens by morning. Tomorrow is cold with high temperatures in the upper 30s, about 10 degrees cooler than normal. We gradually warm through the end of the week with temperatures getting into the mid-upper 40s on Thursday, and soaring into the lower 60s on Friday. A cold front moves in on Friday night, bringing a chance for a few showers but the chance for measurable rain looks slim. We'll be cooler behind the front to start the weekend as temperatures only reach the upper 40s on Saturday. Rain returns Sunday night into Monday, bringing about an inch to 1.5" for areas along and south of I-70. Temperatures remain in the low 50s Sunday and Monday.
