Man arrested in relation to shots fired investigation on Paris Road in Columbia
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
The Columbia Police Department has arrested Montrez Ricketts in relation to an investigation to a shots-fired call Monday in a commercial area of north Columbia, the department wrote on Twitter.
Officers were sent to the 2400 block of Paris Road, where two vehicles were involved in an apparent gun battle, the Columbia Police Department said in a social media post. One of the vehicles crashed and three people ran from the car, police say.
CPD wrote that detectives with the Department’s Investigations Bureau identified Ricketts, 43, of Columbia, as a suspect. CPD said in its tweet that Ricketts was being held at the Boone County Jail. Boone County Sheriff's Office online records indicate he is being held without bond.

The second vehicle got away. No injuries have been reported. Others involved in the incident have been identified, according to CPD. The investigation is ongoing.
