Heat and humidity make a push for mid-MO this weekend
THIS AFTERNOON: Temperatures continue to rise through the 80s to near 90 with a moist atmosphere developing across the region. It will be hot and muggy through the evening.
TONIGHT: It’s muggy overnight. Temperatures drop into the upper 60s.
EXTENDED: The weekend looks fairly steamy across Mid-Missouri. With temperatures rising into the upper 80s to near 90 and dew point values between 70-75, it will feel very sticky out and about. Feels like temperatures will hold into the mid 90s each afternoon. Sunday brings a slight chance of rain showers with a weak wave of low pressure passing through. Even more heat is expected Monday with temperatures in the mid and upper 90s.
A Weather Alert Day has been issued Monday for the potential for dangerous heat to kick off next week.
