Mizzou guard named SEC Player of the Week

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Southeastern Conference announced that Mizzou guard D'Moi Hodge is the conference player of the week on Monday afternoon.

In a pair of wins against SIUE and Mississippi Valley State, the graduate student averaged about 24 points, five rebounds, and five steals per game. In the game against SIUE, Dodge put up a team-high 30 points against the Cougars. That's the most points by a Tiger through the first five games of the season.

Hodge had an 18-point night against the Delta Devils on Sunday. He also added on a career-best six steals in that win, which is the most by a Mizzou player in two seasons.

The guard ranks in the top 10 in five categories within the SEC, including scoring, field goal percentage and steals.

Hodge and the Tigers will be back in action against on Wednesday night against Coastal Carolina at Mizzou Arena. Tip off is at 6:00 p.m.
