Southern Utah beats Sam Houston 17-7

HUNTSVILLE, Texas (AP) — Justin Miller threw for 154 yards, Isaiah Wooden rushed for 99 yards and Southern Utah beat Sam Houston 17-7. Miller had one touchdown and one interception for Southern Utah. Elijah Burns capped the scoring with a 2-yard score with 6:22 left in the third quarter. Trapper Pannell was intercepted two times for Sam Houston. He threw for 127 yards and carried it 21 times for 147 yards and another score. Southern Utah’s Rodrick Ward intercepted a tipped pass and returned it 8 yards, and Davin Wilson was the only player within 10 yards of him for an easy pick in the fourth quarter.
