Two homes destroyed by fire, third damaged at Lake of the Ozarks

The Gravois Fire Protection Department wrote in a post on its Facebook page that two homes were destroyed in a fire and a third suffered significant damage on Thursday.

"GFPD received the call shortly after noon Thursday of two homes on fire on Oak Drive at the 9.5 mile marker of the Gravois arm, Lake of the Ozarks," the department wrote in the post.

GFPD said a fire fighter suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene. The scene was cleared by 6:30 p.m., according to the post.

The post stated a second alarm was initiated, which brought in several more fire departments to help.

The Missouri Division of Fire Safety is investigating the fire.
