Blake Baker gets $2.9 million raise with contract extension

KMIZ

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Details of Mizzou defensive coordinator Blake Baker's new contract state that Baker will be staying with the Tigers through the 2025 season with a $2.9 million raise for the entire term.

Baker will make $91,666.67 each month meaning $1,100,000.04 each year.

That pay will continue to increase as his salary progresses with the number jumping to $100,000 per month starting in March of 2024, and in March of 2025 it will make another jump to $108,333 per month.

The contract also contains a more explicit "buyout" clause for Baker if he were to leave MU for another school during his contract.

For example, he'd owe MU $1.4 million if he took another DC job at the NCAA level after the 2023 season, but that price goes down as time goes on.
