Tracking continued warmth, rain chances to end the week

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and chilly with lows in the upper 40s.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny, warm, and breezy with highs in the mid-70s.

EXTENDED: We can count on mostly clear skies overnight with temperatures falling back into the upper 40s. Tomorrow looks picture perfect yet again as our upper pattern of southwest winds holds, with highs getting into the upper 70s. Thursday is breezy as high pressure tries to work east and low pressure looms out to our west. A cold front enters from the west on Friday, bringing a chance at widespread rain and a few storms by afternoon into Friday night. Depending on the speed of the front, we may have some lingering showers up through the lunch hour on Saturday, with falling temperatures during the day behind the front. Temperatures likely hit about 60 and then fall from there, if not a little cooler. It will be quite windy on Saturday and Sunday with wind gusts up to 30 mph, but Sunday is looking dry with highs in the upper 60s. Rain amounts will be in the 1.5" to 2.5" range. Next week starts off mild with upper winds shifting back to the southwest, keeping highs in the upper 60s to low 70s.
