Jessica Hafner is the Chief Meteorologist for ABC 17 Stormtrack Weather. You can see her forecasts at 5, 6 and 10 p.m. on KMIZ and 9 p.m. on KQFX.

Jessica returned to ABC 17 News after three years at KSDK-TV in St. Louis, where she was a meteorologist and fill-in traffic anchor. During her time at KSDK, she visited more than 75 schools in Missouri and Illinois to speak to students about weather safety and broadcast meteorology.

Before making the move east, Jessica worked as the ABC 17 Stormtrack Weather midday meteorologist and digital content director from 2014 to 2016. She started her career in Mid-Missouri at KRCG in 2012 as the weekend meteorologist and general assignment reporter.

Jessica earned the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist designation from the American Meteorological Society in 2015 and has covered numerous severe weather events, winter storms, and devastating flooding in her time as a Missourian. She has been nominated twice for a Mid-America Regional Emmy Award for her work on the anniversary of the Great Flood of 1993 and severe weather in St. Louis.

Jessica is happy to be back in Mid-Missouri with her daughter, husband, and two dogs, who love exploring the trails and state parks around the area.
