Concert Inside the Walls relocated

The Concert Inside the Walls featuring Dennis DeYoung and the Music of Styx will be relocated to the Jefferson City Jaycee’s Fairgrounds, according to a news release from the event coordinator.

The release said the event organizers and city and state officials agreed to relocate the event due to the damage to the Historic Missouri State Penitentiary.

Dennis DeYoung is aware of the disaster and “expressed his deepest sympathies,” according to the release.

Mayor Carrie Tergin said the city will be accepting monetary donations at the concert.

Concert attendees can make monetary donations onsite or bring donations of needed items. All money and items will go towards the recovery and cleanup effort, according to the news releases.

The concert will still take place June 1.
