Severe threat returning to Mid-Missouri

TODAY: Heading into the afternoon, the atmosphere will destabilize with the help of plentiful sunshine. Temperatures will top out in the middle 80s but the threat for more severe weather will return. Storms look to fire around 4-5 PM and quickly grow upscale. All modes of severe weather including strong tornadoes are possible. TONIGHT: Storms will continue into tonight before exiting before the early morning commute. Overnight lows will only fall into the middle 60s.

EXTENDED: There will be quite a bit of dry time spent during the day on Thursday and into the first half of Friday. Temperatures both days will stay in the low to mid 80s. Heading into the weekend we’ll see rain chances return, and look to hang around through the holiday weekend. This is unwelcomed for many with outdoor plans and also those who have been battling flooding for the better portion of the last couple months.
