Morgan County man charged with sexual assault

Prosecutors in Morgan County have charged a man with rape, sexual assault and sending out private sexual images.

According to the court documents, Zachary Oxford, 20, sent nude photos of the victim over Snapchat. The victim said Oxford raped her at a party last summer, according to a probable cause statement.

Investigators say they found the photos on Oxford’s phone after he was arrested on suspicion of burglary in October. He was arrested again Saturday in connection with the current charges.

Oxford was in the Morgan County Jail on Tuesday without bond.

Oxford’s initial court appearance is scheduled for Thursday.
