Vehicle fire backs up I-70 traffic
A vehicle fire blocked eastbound traffic on Interstate 70 in Columbia on Monday.
Traffic was diverted onto Rangeline Street after the fire in the eastbound lanes between the Lake of the Woods exit and the I-70/Highway 63 connector. Boone County officials encouraged drivers to choose a different route.
After a brief closure one lane was opened. Both lanes had reopened by 4:30 p.m.
