Mizzou senior named Preseason All-SEC Second Team

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (KMIZ)

The SEC named Mizzou women's basketball senior forward Hayley Frank to the Preseason All-SEC Second Team on Tuesday.

Frank led everyone on the current roster with an average of 15 points, about five rebounds, and about five assists per game in her junior season. She also sat amongst the top of the conference with 46.2 percent accuracy from beyond the arc and finished 19th overall in blocks with 21 in the 2021-22 campaign.

The forward shined bright in MU's historic upset over No. 1 South Carolina in 2021, with 21 points and three rebounds.

The Tigers spoke at SEC Media Days on Tuesday afternoon. Media members picked Mizzou to finish 12th in the SEC in the 2022-23 season. You can find the full preseason media poll below.

Mizzou will open up the season on Nov. 7 against Missouri State in Springfield, but head coach Robin Pingeton and company will host two exhibition games at Mizzou Arena on Oct. 26 and Nov. 1.
