Two hurt in crash on Highway Z in Miller County

MILLER COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Missouri State Highway Patrol investigated a crash in Miller County that sent two people from Rocky Mount to the hospital.

The one vehicle crash happened on Highway Z east of Pin Oak View Road at 2:10 a.m Saturday.

Troopers said, 18-year-old Gavin Cadwallader was driving when the car crossed the center of the road, went off the left side of the road, collided with a fence and a utility pole then overturned several times in a field.

Two passengers were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

A 16-year-old girl was flown to University Hospital while Nicholas Daugherty, 20, was transported to Lake Regional Hospital.

Cadwallader was not hurt in the crash, according to the crash report.

According to the Highway Patrol, the 16-year-old girl and Daugherty were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
