Sunshine is right around the corner

SATURDAY: We’re seeing some patchy fog developing in some of our southern counties this morning. That will creep further north over the coming hours, before lifting later this morning. Clouds will begin to clear from west to east into this afternoon, ushering in sunshine which is becoming a rare sight over the past few weeks. Temperatures will top out in the upper 60s to low 70s this afternoon with winds out of the northeast up to 10 mph.

TONIGHT: We hang on to mostly clear skies tonight and those northeasterly winds becoming calm, possibly leading to some more patchy fog developing for Sunday morning. Temperatures will cool off into the upper 40s and low 50s.

EXTENDED: Sunday will be another day to get out and enjoy the outdoors with continued sunshine and temperatures reaching the low to mid 70s. You’ll want to take advantage of this weekend as things get back into an unsettled pattern on Monday, with rain returning. We’ll see a daily chance of picking up showers and thunderstorms, and much like last week, this will become more fine-tuned the closer we get to each day but we’re expecting 1-2″ of rainfall. Keep the umbrella in the car through Thursday, but we won’t need much of a jacket in the mornings, as overnight lows only dip into the mid to upper 50s. Be sure to check back on-air or online for the latest on the forecast as storms develop.
