Flooding impacts still being felt with a beautiful weekend on the horizon

TONIGHT: As showers are departing Mid-Missouri, we are finally getting a chance to catch our breath around the viewing area. We’ll be left with mostly cloudy skies tonight as temperatures fall back into the low to mid 50s for lows.

FRIDAY: After a dry start, shower chances will increase heading toward the afternoon on Friday. Here in Mid-Missouri, it looks like we’ll be stuck between the two disturbances, so coverage will be more sporadic as opposed to southern portions of the state. Temperatures will only top out in the low to mid 60s with plenty of cloud cover to close out the week.

EXTENDED: The gloomy and miserable week might be worth it considering the beautiful weekend that looks to unfold. Sunshine returns on Saturday and stays with us through the weekend. Temperatures on Saturday top out in the low 70s, warming slightly on Sunday into the upper 70s, allowing us to dry out for a few days. Southwesterly flow sets back up heading into Monday and Tuesday and looks like it will be tough to shake once again, which will bring back an unsettled weather pattern for a good portion of the upcoming week. Be sure to check back on-air or online for the latest on the forecast as it gets rainy again next week.
